HTE Computer Consulting⁺ and www.hteplus.com announce support for the anticipated Vista.
Vista the next flagship operating system scheduled to be released by Microsoft later this year has been in house for over a year. Engineers at HTE have tested it and done a limited roll out of various beta and release test clients throughout the organization with success. Support for the product will be initially offered to its premium support contracts but will later be available to all clients. Also look for the ever popular FAQ section on our website.

Our latest client is one of the largest distributors of fine art in the North East. They also are the largest framing facility on the East Coast. Their multi-lateral partnerships throughout the region make having a reliable network a top priority. All orders, billing, and shipping departments are computerized and need to be up and running 100%. HTE Computer Consulting+ and Hi-Tech Business Solutions have completed Stage-1 which includes a survey of nine locations throughout Boston for the offices of Preventative Medicine Associates. Stage-2 involving upgrades, ordering software, and HIPPA compliancy will begin in the coming weeks.

HTE Computer Consulting+ has won the bid to contract an entire network for a new motor coach dealership on Route 79 in Berkley, MA. This will involve an entire network built from the ground up consisting of 50+ workstation locations, a server room, and redundant high speed Internet connection points.

HTE Computer Consulting⁺ and its development team's services have completed Stage-I of  fairhaven.net. The domain www.fairhaven.net will be the web site for the town of Fairhaven, Massachusetts. Plans to expand into Stage-II are to be announced.

HTE inks deal to implement Microsoft Windows 2003 Enterprise solutions  to Regional ISP.
On Thursday a core group of engineers rolled out a plan to migrate a large portion of a regional ISP's solutions to Microsoft's flagship operating system Windows 2003 server. These solutions will include Web Hosting,  file and print services,  authentication, corporate Exchange servers, content filtering, statistical analysis, and DNS servers.

CEO named president of local BNI - Business Networking International Chapter in South East MA
The CEO of HTE Computer Consulting⁺ was nominated to president of the BNI chapter and will lead the chapter for the next 6 months in office. BNI is the largest business and professional networking organization in the world, whose primary purpose is to exchange qualified business referrals. The organization currently has over 2,600 chapters throughout 12 countries with over 52,000 members worldwide. In 2003, members of BNI passed over 2.1 million referrals, which generated more than 727 million dollars of business for its members. The BNI Southcoast chapter meets once a week for 2 hours to discuss and form strategic business alliances within the local community.

Within 1 week of the official launch of BNI Southcoast's website, HTE has received an award for Design and Implementation for www.bnisouthcoast.com. The "Notable Networker Award" is given in recognition of outstanding performance. Linda Macedonio, the chapter's president, was on hand to personally give the award. Chapter members on hand were quoted as saying:  "The speed and effort that went into this is remarkable" and  "This will help the local chapter's visibility in the community." Windows 2003 is here!
HTE Computer Consulting⁺ is now running on Microsoft's latest flagship operating system Windows 2003 Server. The improvements made over prior operating systems greatly reduces overhead at the server level and enhances the client experience. HTE's staff of engineers are currently working on a deployment scheduled, 3rd Qtr 2003, at deploying Windows 2003 at a customer level.
